Obituary of James Dwight Emberley

With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of James Dwight Emberley of Douglas Harbour, NB, on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, at his residence.

Born in Minto, NB, he was the beloved son of the late Russell Emberley and Myrna (Thompson) Ackerson.

Dwight, a devoted papa, and dedicated member of the Douglas Harbour Fire Department for many years, Owner of Dwight Emberley Builders, Dwight found joy in farming and cherished conversations over coffee at the local store.

He is survived by his sons, Jamie (Michelle) and Kyle (Emily); grandchildren, Gauge, Gunar, Griffin, and Gemma; brother, Neil Emberley (Chris); sister, Wendy Sanford (Dan); step-brother, Eric Chase (Karen) of Fredericton; step-sister, Marjorie Chase (Tim) of Fredericton; brother-in-law, Tommy Cole (Donalda) of Hardwood Ridge; sister-in-law, Susan Veysey (Don) of Fredericton; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dwight was predeceased by his wife, Nancy (Cole) Emberley in 2018, and his stepmother, Donna (Bagley) Emberley.

Resting at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB), visitation Friday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Douglas Harbour Fire Department, with interment following at Scotchtown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Douglas Harbour Fire Department, Scotchtown Community Hall or the Scotchtown Cemetery would be greatly appreciated by the family.
